About us

q

A new era began “Fluent in Creativity”… This era, marked by a creative approach to modern design, blurs the lines between furniture and fine art. Clients continue to seek out E.M. Soberon for his unique talent to work in any style of design from Classic to Transitional to Modern.

M ade in the USA. After receiving the selected treated wood from our exclusive sources, the process to manufacture each piece begins at our workshop located in South Florida. First the wood is planed and leveled. Next the acrylic is cast using custom molds made specifically for each project. Hand polishing is the final step that brings the wood and the acrylic to a high luster.

This custom American Flag is made using Milpa wood to create the stripes and Olive wood for the stars. The White and Blue cast acrylic bonds all of the materials together to create the final product. The flag is 2″ thick and weighs almost 90 pounds.

Modern style is the most exciting new trend and is being used in so much of today’s decor. Creating sophisticated modern pieces is an integral part of the E.M. Soberon aesthetic.

Resources & Materials

Once an idea has been converted to a design, the search for the materials becomes part of the excitement in creating the final product. Many of our clients enjoy being part of this process.

The search may begin at Lumberyards and Artistic workshops to collect materials, ideas and samples that can be converted into our creations.

We combine many materials- wood, glass, cast acrylic, resins, epoxies, stainless steel, brass, bronze –just to mention a few. The use of different types of material in the development of the product often creates a challenge, but E.M. Soberon’s ability to stabilize them and allow them to work together results in a rewarding and unique product.

Sketches are the first step to materialize the ideas. The required time to mature a design varies and usually takes several days until it feels right. How to use the imperfections on the materials is part of our perfect piece, the natural character of each element.
